PIOA foot ankle module, Suva, Fiji, September 2023

The PIOA Knee, and Foot & Ankle Module meeting was held in Suva, Fiji from the 11th to 29th September 2023. The two modules were attended by five PIOA Trainees: Dr Agnes Auto from Solomon Islands, Dr Jacqueline Pahun and Dr Thomas Kiele from Papua New Guinea, Dr. Pauliasi Bauleka from Fiji and Dr Julio Piedade from East Timor.

We provided four foot and ankle specialists from New Zealand to provide teaching for the foot ankle module: Dr James Aoina, Dr Hamish Leslie, Dr Sotiata Leilua, and new to the PIOA teaching programme, Dr Suren Senthi.

As always, the teaching was well received and the trainees engaged purposefully in learning foot and ankle principles.
